ok im going to say both cars were in the viscinity of 147mph

to convert mph into fps(feet per second) you use 1.44

147 x 1.44 = 211.68 feet per second

now 50ft... thats what at question here. 211.68 / 50 = 4.22

1 (second) / 4.22 = .2369

which means you guys went an extra .2369 seconds (even less if your saw speeds higher then 147)

so do you think about 1/4 second before the race ended the winner was losing?

I'm not as upset as I was befor, thay can keep the $$ that is street racing. Next time I race up there the wheel will take care of the 1320. I learned my leason, I hope you all mark off the real 1320 and we can move on. As far as me racing at the track with the Viper with any one, is not going to happen any time soon. I would like to talk to Floyd or Scott this week if thay are up to it. See you all in a few months, be safe, and enjoy the Event Ford Man is doing in Sep for TR.com

because what if both cars stayed together for the whole rest of the way past the 1/4 or whatever mark you want ?
Its set with a mark because its just easier to determine a winner

damn, you beat me to the calculations, if that car passed him in 50 feet, that viper must of SLAMMED on the brakes or something, or that other car was a top fueler.

just a guess..
Couldn't they get one run in before being kicked out? This is purely hypothetical, I'm not suggesting any such race should be conducted. I've only been out to the track once, and it was the rained-out TRack event #5 attempt #1. So, I don't really know much about it, but if you lied about what your car ran, wouldn't you get one run in before they kicked you out?

maybe, that could possibly be done. Depends on how fast the cars are and how serious the infraction....
I know they don't exactly tech the vehicles at TnT, but if it's fairly obvious then they might not let them run.

I think the reason you will not see Chris (Viper Guy) run at the track is his car is set up for the street and even with running no time people can still find out what he ran if you no those that work there.
