I measured my 8.75 today, and the dimensions of the wheels I was gonna use. The wheels off the RR were pretty offset, so i wasnt sure how it would fit, especially with the 8.75 being a little more narrow compaired to the stock axle.

Looks like for inside clearance, its gonna be close. From the axle flange to the spring perch is about 6.5", from the center of the wheel, to the tires inside edge is just under 6.5".. so if the leaf spring overhangs the perch some, or i get too much tire deflection, it;ll rub. They were close on the RR, but i think i had like 1" or so. Again, this axle is a little more narrow.

With that axle, and these wheels... outside edge to outside edge is 67 3/4". The stock wheels, axle, and maybe a little narrow tires on the rear right now measure 69 1/4". So I could grow a little there, since the 69 1/4 might be narrow as it is (small tires). On top of that, my fronts stick out a little wider than the backs. On the front i have my 5" welds.

Looks like i can stick at least 1 more inch of meat under there per side... which is how much shorter the axle was anyway.

SO, since one of the big reasons i wanted to build the truck was to use my wheels.... and im going to need new rears possibly... what do i do? Buy new rear draglites? Or move on and buy all 4 with a new style such as the Rodlites or a stylish wheel.. might end up having to get 16" or 17".

Before I buy, i'll put on my rears and see how it looks

BTW, my rears now are 8", 5 1/2" back spacing... I would probably step up to 10" and move the back spacing out to 5" or 4 1/2"
