Is this possible?
Is this possible?
I am finishing up the engine swap on the GLH-S.
Question: Is it normal for the crank gear to not have a center bolt?
Here is what is going on. The CSX crank has no threads for the bolt that hold the gear on the crank. the hole is tapered down to a point. Now my old GLH-S crank has threads..
Is this normal to not have threads in the center of the crank, and if so what keeps the crank gear on?
Please if you guys can help...thanks.Levi

ever car ive ever seen has the bolt.
The gear is pressed on pretty hard, i dont think it would work its way off without the bolt, however anything's possible. Its maybe a safety.. or just to give people piece of mind. Or just a way to install the gear!
