My NEW Dakota is runx0ring!
My new truck started up tonight! Hooray!!
As you know, its days of being a V6 are numbered. But until then, imma have a little fun with it! Man, its just night and day from my 4cyl dak. The tranny is much more smooth in and out of gears. Its so much more smooth at idle. The exhaust went from a 4cyl with a cherry bomb and split to duals with long tips, to single exhaust with a deeper V6 and larger pipe. The power is insane with this one, relatively.. lol. The 2.5 was well, a 2.5 with like a 2.70 or something gear and 30" tires.. compaired to this one with the 3.9, 3.90 gear, and normal tires. Needless to say, it has MUCH more pickup! Except im in 4th gear where the other would probably be in 2nd.. lol
I'm having great fun with it on my first night out!! Ask Goldmember.. i was a kid on christmas day!

so i got off work early tonight and started tearing apart the 318. I got it down to the shortblock.. all looks good. A few cyls have a tad of rust, but will probably clean up nicely with a scotchbrite and then the rings will take care of the rest. I gotta drop the oil pan tomorrow and check the bottom end.

wait a sec, you're taking the polluting 6 cyl and putting in an even more pulluting 8 cyl????? omfg, my hippy alarm is going through the roof
