To be honest, driving US market car in EU is kind of grey zone. Theoretically, all parts should have EU ****logation but in practice, at least here in Poland, in most cases when car pass annual inspection then it is good to go. In order to pass inspection, turn signals need to blink in amber or orange and to be active only when turning. Also rear fog light needs to be added. Headlights need to shine asymmetric - left light needs to be shorter. There are couple of workshops that are doing such modifications so it is not a problem to have a car complying with regulations. At least older car. Newer cars with LEDs and laser lights can be a bit of a problem to modify.
Fun fact: many US cars here are being modified to run on LPG/propane, including my car. Yeah, we have our own fair share of dash cam videos on YT 😄. But as far as I know, number of accidents per 1000 vehicles is comparable to USA numbers.
So far, I've been driving for 15 years and only "accident" I had is when I waited in line at fuel station and some lady in her A class Mercedes decided to leave queue and she reversed into my car 😄
