The biggest gain for the $$$ will be a tune. There's no need for a wild tune with only the modifications (intake & exhaust). You can install headers if you're looking for more air flow. A 91-octane or 93-octane tune, depending on highest octane sold in your area, will give you more performance. The best tune will be custom tune. You can get an email custom tune and will not have to run on a dyno.

The tune can disable MDS, increase throttle response, adjust to a higher octane fuel, increase firmness of transmission shift, etc ... You can also install a 180°F thermostat if you want the engine to run a little cooler. It all adds up when the tuner is adjusting AFR (air fuel ratio), spark advance, etc ... to maximize performance while avoiding KR (knock retard). The tune is adjusting to what the engine is capable of in terms of performance rather than EPA specs ... while still maintaining reliability. My recommendation for tuning is HemiFever Tuning using a DiabloSport tuner (see links below).

I don't know if you have the 2.65 rear gear ratio or the 3.06 gears. Switching out the 2.65 for 3.06 gears makes a difference too. You can check your Build Sheet (equipment listing) using the link below to check your factory installed rear gear ratio. Just be sure to use all CAPS when entering your car's VIN#.
