Electrical issues
Have 06 TB Daytona:

Wont keep a charge lately. Battery is new -connections are good. Swapped out alt and it reads .5 amps at both idle and 1500rpms.
Seems to be a slow negative draw draining the battery (ELECTRICAL DEMON)

Ongoing issues:
Alarm wont disarm from either key, have to push the key button for like two minutes straight to get it turned off.
Tpms sensor indicator on dash flashes random off and on all pressure is good, will check the sensors today at tire shop.
Trunk switch on dash isn't working anymore, nor both key buttons.
Only driver door unlocks when you turn off the car, have to manually hit the door switch to let people out.

Its getting old swapping batteries everyday and or jumping the car every morning. Thoughts???

Was the previous alternator reading the same amount when tested?

How are you testing the alternator's output?

Is the red battery light illuminated while doing this?

What did you observe that led you to this conclusion? (you can never have TOO many details when troubleshooting over the internet)

What is the timeline for these issues? Did they all start about the same time, separately, etc.?

Do both FOBs exhibit the same behavior with this? Or does one unlock it quicker than the other?

Could be the batteries in the units themselves. They have a 8 year life span IIRC, and when the battery runs down, the unit will start to alert intermittently.

How many miles are on the car?

While a pain, you can diagnose this separately with a test light to both identify where the problem lies and whether or not it is related to everything else.

Isn't this a convenience setting that is configurable through the EVIC or entertainment system? It could have become reset back to default during a battery swap out when the car lost power for a while. Check the driver/safety settings to see what this option is set to. If it's set to behave like this, we know it is not related and can be ignored.

I feel your pain. I had an intermittent charging system problem with my last Challenger that took almost a year from 1st occurrence until it was finally fixed. And during that time, it managed to completely confound me and my abilities to diagnose the issue, not to mention do the same to the local dealership service department on 3 different occasions. In all, I probably spent close to $1500 trying to get it fixed, towing it when it would strand me, etc., and in the end it turned out to be a corroded plug on the back of the alternator.

I'm not saying yours is a corroded plug or anything similarly as simple. I'm just saying problems like this are a killer to try to find and fix the first time around. Many times it will take several attempts to get it right...hopefully each try doesn't cost a lot of money, and if it does, hopefully you have deep pockets.

Ignition-Off Draw (IOD) is a normal condition where power is being drained from the battery with the ignition switch in the Off position. A normal vehicle electrical system will draw from five to thirty-five milliamperes (0.005 to 0.035 ampere) with the ignition switch in the Off position, and all non-ignition controlled circuits in proper working order. Up to thirty-five milliamperes are needed to enable the memory functions for the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), digital clock, electronically tuned radio, and other modules which may vary with the vehicle equipment.

To perform a IOD Test ...
Disconnect the battery negative cable.
Set a digital multi-meter to its highest amperage scale. Connect the multi-meter between the disconnected battery negative cable terminal clamp and the battery negative terminal post. Make sure that the doors remain closed so that the illuminated entry system is not activated. The multi-meter amperage reading may remain high for up to three minutes, or may not give any reading at all while set in the highest amperage scale, depending upon the electrical equipment in the vehicle. The multi-meter leads must be securely clamped to the battery negative cable terminal clamp and the battery negative terminal post.

After about three minutes, the high-amperage IOD reading on the multi-meter should become very low or nonexistent, depending upon the electrical equipment in the vehicle. If the amperage reading remains high, remove and replace each fuse or circuit breaker in the Power Distribution Center (PDC = front & rear fuse boxes), one at a time until the amperage reading becomes very low, or nonexistent. This will isolate each circuit and identify the circuit that is the source of the high-amperage IOD. If the amperage reading remains high after removing and replacing each fuse and circuit breaker, disconnect the wire harness from the alternator. If the amperage reading now becomes very low or nonexistent, diagnose and repair the Charging System.

After the high-amperage IOD has been corrected, switch the multi-meter to progressively lower amperage scales and, if necessary, repeat the fuse and circuit breaker remove-and-replace process to identify and correct all sources of excessive IOD. It is now safe to select the lowest milliampere scale of the multi-meter to check the low-amperage IOD.
CAUTION: Do not open any doors, or turn on any electrical accessories with the lowest milliampere scale selected, or the multi-meter may be damaged.
Observe the multi-meter reading. The low-amperage IOD should not exceed thirty-five milliamperes (0.035 ampere). If the current draw exceeds thirty-five milliamperes, isolate each circuit using the fuse and circuit breaker remove-and-replace process. The multi-meter reading will drop to within the acceptable limit when the source of the excessive current draw is disconnected

When I was experiencing excessive IOD it was due to a loose connector attached to the memory module under the driver seat. Apparently loose connectors under the front seats is not uncommon due to things rolling under the seats or being pushed under the seats.
This fixed my IOD for about a week. Then it started again. Dealership traced the problem to a aftermarket security system ... which I didn't even know was installed (I'm the 2nd owner of the car). Apparently the security system was waking up during the evening and draining the battery ... so they removed the security system. They also replaced the battery due to a bad cell. Apparently the multiple deep drain cycles damaged one of the battery cells. Everything has been fine since.

First, check key fob batteries.
Advance tests them at their display for free.

Second, install a battery cut off switch, so you can stop the battery drain while you track down the battery leak.
My car makes no noise when I lock it at the handle.https://www.chargerforums.com/forums...d.php?t=382383
It beeps once when I touch the handle to unlock it.

I don't know my settings.
I carry the fob in a pocket.
