Levi - Pea shooter my ass. If you NEED a .45 to be safe, you need to just not carry and go back to the playground with the other kiddies. Shot placement is what matters most. I can't actually believe you wrote that. Do you know anything about guns besides what you read in Combat Handguns or American Handgunner? A .38 will enter a skull as much as a .45 will. Also, I'm sorry but a .38 is rifled, and has more penetration than a "tumbling round" such as a .45. Six shots with that gun to the center of mass (and I''ll be going for the heart or lungs) or 1 to the skull and I don't give a fuck who you are, you are not getting up.

Not knocking a .45 though, what you didn't see was the Taurus PT-945 .45 sitting on the desk. Damn good gun, even shooting shitty range reloads it has yet to malfunction once.

Oh and Dave I'm getting a Beretta 1201 FP or Benelli M1 18" riot gun when I can afford it. They are basically the same with the Benelli being more expensive. Loaded with Federal 00 Buckshot... ya know, what the military uses for "brush clearing" hehehehe

I only was a Scout Sniper for 4 years...

So if you can't do it with one shoot, it doesn't count...

OK, cool. Then you are alright.

By next week I hope to have a 1911 (hoping I can find one for a decent price at the gun show)

Your original comment about a .38 not stopping anyway didn't make a helluva lot of sense, but I can see where you might have been biased towards the .45

1911 model would be nice to have... worth alot if is good condition and original.

I didn't want you to take it personally about the GUN SIZE.. It was more for you..If your going to pull out a gun make sure your ready to kill that person.

If it was my parents store that was needing to be watched. I would be doing from the top of a building or a tree. But not thug style.. Snipe the basterd as he comes out from the robbery, that way your not in danger and he has no time to react to you and the weapon your holding.

That's one of the Cardinal rules. You don't pull it out unless you fully intend on using it. I do know what I'm doing.

Unfortunately, your sniper bit would take a self-defense shooting (100% legal) and turn it into 1st degree murder. Being ass raped 7 days a week by Bubba isn't my idea of a grandeous vacation at the Hillsborough Hilton. Besides which, that leaves either my mom or little sister to be robbed by said person with a loaded handgun. No thanks, I'll take MY chances with him/her.

How you gonna get caught if he is dead from a shot that came from...

The only way you would get caught is, if you kept the weapon, instead of tossing it into the bay somewhere.

Its hard to get convicted, if the witness is dead.

Maybe you could dress up as a Chip rack and hide out in the store... JFWY

Also I think they would still charge you, being you don't have a weapons permit, or have the gun registered.

I also know if its not in your house, you have no rights.. even if it is in your parents store.. different laws about that.. it would be better to have your parents blow him away.

I knew this guy and he shot a thief who pulled out a gun and tried to rob him.. he shot him in the shoulder and the thief sued the shit outta the guy and won..The other guy got charged for attempted murder in the second degree with no premed, but that changed once they found he kept the gun in the store for such a purpose to shoot thieves.. and he got screwed.

Matters not if I have a permit, and this was told to me by a TPD Officer of 20 years. It's my store, it's totally legal if I feel my life is in danger. Besides which, I am part of the corporation that owns the business (yes, we are registered as a corporation). My mother hates guns anyway, and I'll be damned if I sit idly and watch her try to struggle. Put your self in my shoes.
