Default PT Cruiser intake

I am installing a stereo in my wifes PT Cruiser and have no room for the huge fuse holder I want to use. I was thinking about getting a cheap air intake so I could remove the factory air box to make room for the fuse. I was looking at some cheap ones on ebay for $40 ($25 + $15 S&H) like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1873150559. I am not concerned with "maximum hp gain" but I don't want to lose hp either. Is there the possiblity of hp lose or is just about anything better than the factory air box. If you have anyother suggestions or something else that will work please let me know.[/url]

Don't know for sure, I drive v8's. If it was me, I'd go to an exhaust shop buy some metal bend it myself and then get a k&N. More air means you'll need more fuel which could result in better effiecency. But I don't know for sure if you will gain or lose hp/tq
