I pretty much had the job, but then it was brought to my attention that the work permit that I had was not FWS (federal work study), it was OPS(whatever that means) so they couldn't hire me because the state wouldn't pay for it. Kind of pissed off about it because the school is very vague on how all this works and when I went to go get the permit down at the student jobs office they didn't explain this to me. They simply asked for my student ID and handed me what I believed was a work permit good for anywhere on campus and sent me on my way.

I just looked at the listings for jobs in the OPS category and there all out of date and require resumes.

What sucks most is that the school won't give me FWS because they don't think I have the financial need to qualify for it. The way I see it I have 2k worth of financial need right now considering I need to have a laptop before spring semester for Autocad class. My parents sure as hell don't have money to loan me, and after all summer with the car (and that incident with the fuxor in the SUV ) I am pretty much broke. Even if I only had to cover my gas and insurance for summer I still wouldn't have made enough to get a laptop that meets the minimum requirements of the engineering department.

Nah its not your fault. I just didn't want to bring any drama into Mopar tech, after all thats what the rest of TR is for
