stopped over friends shop to buy some motors to experiment with and he says he junked them all(5-6 motors) he had no idea i would have a use for them and the County(Pasco) was all over his A$$ about them laying in the yard and tested his dirt for oil,antifreeze,etc. that scared the crap out of him and he cleaned out the yard oh well i'll just keep on looking i guess.

If you are willing to drive to Orlando, there should be plenty 2.0's. The tourists crash those rental cars all the time.

 

where? how much do the get for them?

 

I usually see at least one in every yard I have gone too, some are the newer 132hp versions. Just guesstimating but they probably want 250 for an engine. I know its highway robbery, which is why I don't have a TI to work on yet. But if you really really want one either go to Bithlo or Apopka, both are cities right outside Orlando.

 

Also there is one road in Apopka where there are about 6-10 separate scrapyards, a few of them are really big and then the rest are all smaller. The name of the road is Vulcan Road.

 

if i'm gonna spend 250.00 i might as well spend another 100 or so and get a 2.4 if they have any i'm installing the motor in my CSX this weekend and than go get me a 2.4 PM me the Phone #'s for the places,i'm familiar with Apopka so that would work,thanks

My experience with them, they go based off of cylinders more than displacement when they price em around here. 2.2's are like 250 the cheapest I can find them in Apopka and I am not willing to pay that much since I have yet to find a common block one. I also went looking for a 2.5 to replace my TBI engine, and I got the same respective pricing.

You'll probably pay the same for a 2.4 as a 2.0, as for the numbers, I wish I had my phone book up here in G-ville, but I usually just drive to them without calling. But thats only because I live there summers. Maybe I will find them somewhere online. Probably best to go looking sometime when you are in the Orlando area with other stuff to do, I wouldn't want to go out there specifically to look cause you never really know what kind of luck you are gonna have.
