Would a later like a 88 or so auto work in there? Not enough time to go the manual route Oh well. I think I'll line up against mpbiv I think it might be the tranny. dunno fer sure, I cant hear anything over all the grinding when I put it in gear.
Jeff any older auto in the yard. Keep an eye out. I will be needing one towards the end of Aug/begining of Sept. Are they still $35ish + core?
I am pretty sure all auto 2.2/2.5 Cars are gonna be 413's. Of course after talking to Jeff I have learned that not every 413 is the same internally, i.e. some have more clutch packs. But nonetheless this is the trans you want.

Oh yeah and make sure you match the converters. Newer models (like my 8 have the pump driven by flats on the torque converter output. Older ones like yours usually have a slot in the converter output that drives the pump, these are prone to cracking.

When you gonna be down? I doubt my car will even be on the road when you are here. It still needs to have the rear damage fixed, and then off with the old cylinder head. And hopefully before August 18 when I go back to Gainesville it will have another cheap paint job.
