Keep in mind everything Ive said so far is for 2nd gen dsms (1995-1999).
1st gen non turbo dohc (sohc was a 1.8 l) was mounted on the drivers side so the one you saw at copher was probably a non turbo.

Im not sure about the 1990-1994 non turbo as being a chrysler though.

Revelation.
420a is non turbo 2.0l 2nd gen used from 1995-1999. Chrysler engine.
4g63 is non turbo 2.0l 1st gen used from 1990-1994. Mitsu engine.
4g63t is turbo 2.0l 1st and 2nd gen used from 1990-1999. Mitsu engine.
Bottom ends not even close between 420a and 4g63. Completely different tranny/bellhousing.

actually more like 7yrs ago with no mods for a neon. Around 97 Mopar listed all the ACR stuff as upgrades to other neons the the RT neon came out. I was pissed all the good shit finally comes out when we got rid d of Loris neon.
