Well I got the valve cover problem fixed on the Spirit and went for a drive to Jesses house last nite. B-town is like 65 miles away so I figured that this trip would take care of the rest of my break in. I stopped on the way and picked up Jeff and by the time I got up there I was about 10 miles past break in. I was still very hesitant to boost it though. I probably wouldnt have if those guys werent there bugging me about it! LOL. I removed the grainger and had the wastegate connected straight to the intake with a small bleed (from the grainger setup) still in there. The wastegate was shimmed a little on this turbo so I didnt know where Id be at.. but I figured it was plenty safe still. Well I finally got the nerve to boost it and it went to about 8psi. Ahhh... boost is nice again. Everything seems to be holding together.. no dipstick popping and no oil spraying all over! I was just amazed at how much different this new setup is from my old. Before I was at 16psi boost and just starting to make the 0.90-0.93v light on my Dawes flicker on. With this setup at my 8psi boost the 0.90-0.93 light was on solid. Wow im flowing THAT much more air! Guess Ill have to get the Cartech RRR out sooner than I thought!

I need more boost though... a Girlie Girl Racing RSX killed me the other day. Good thing it wasnt like a set up race.. i was trying to get in front of her and she wouldnt have it! Luckily there was a car in front of me so i had to let off... oiy...

no wrong way. It was at the .93+ light and the .90-.93 light was just starting to flicker. I could probably get another psi out of it. I need to get the cam timing squared away first though. Then install the cartech regulator.. ill need it anyway

also- i heard back from the guy doing the head. He had a bunch of other projects that he had to cut in line in front of the head.. and they all were PITAs but he says hes sick of them now and the weather is getting good.. so hes gonna go crack out the grinder!!
