well then save your money untill times arnet rough and then buy a real car. Something that already has a turbo on it.

and a pt cruiser even turbo doesn't compare to an srt-4 IMO

blah blah blah, times are tough for most and doesnt look any better anytime soon. the sky is the limit. 1st ckeck the headgasket/timing belt they should be changed around 70k, if not change it! it will sve you grief in the long run. i have a 97 neon and put a fullt built 97 stratus 2.4 motor in with a srt turbo....ig you want you can go that route i have a spare bottom end check out neons.org or modernperformance.com for parts

IMO this is a bad idea and waste of $$, if your looking for a car to mod why do it to a car that will cost over $10K? any car you mod (esecially dodge/neons) are noturious for breaking and not lasting...you will spend a ton of money on something that will be a lawn decoration or a repeat customer to the mechanic(uness you can do all the work yourself) and then when you try to sell it you will loose all that money you invested into it

cool, you shouldnt have any problems. if i was you id buy the block im selling and use your job and buy srt internals... cheap build, a 2.4 bottom and throw on a stock dohc head and have a pretty bad ass motor for about $400, then throw a stock srt turbo on it and fuel system and have a 350hp+ motor for about $500-600 where a good intake is $200, heder $75-300, exhaust $150-$200

haha i was going to say that also, im sry but older neons are just so ugly thats why i would mod a car over 10k bc the older ones r just well old and are pos

besides you can find some pretty cheap srt-4s pretty close to 10k so

neondriver sounds like an idiot to me. any car is going to break down just depends on how you drive it and take car of it. this is my first "neon" and haven't had anything go wrong. although i have watched a ton of my friends srt-4 transmissions go out but thats bc they drive the car to hard.
