I've seen a few that are decent looking.

But as said before, most are beat to shit.

Well, I have alot of friends that have them and they all love them(some putting down 450whp on a stock tranny w/ just bushings and shifter) BUT I wouldent buy one b/c all of the ones ur going to find are going to be beaten on by some young kid or something of that nature...

BUT if u can find one for REALLY cheap, u can also build the motor for pretty cheap and have a 500-550whp reliable DD

I owned mine for over 2 years. I bought it with 7 miles on it. I only had 2 problems, a fuse blew(whoopty doo), an an injector went out. Total cost to fix: $11. I have a friend with one that has 78k on the odo with him beating on it day in and day out for 73k of those miles, and the only thing he's had to fix or replace was the clutch and that was at 77k. I miss mine so much, but I needed something to pull a boat. I miss the sound and the gobs of tq.

now if you want, i have a 95 neon 4 door, no motor or trans, but i have a 2.4 block and new srt-4 internals(that will fit right in) with a race head, the car already has a 225 fuel pump, and i have a tranny with welded differential you can get a srt turbo for 200 and guess what you have a 95 neon with built 2.4 insurance wont know crap and you can have it all under $3,000 and be faster than a stock srt-4....but if you want it reliable then yeah try to get a srt that still has an warrantee or under an extended warrantee.

you do realize that your car must have been a heap of shit if it made those numbers? usualy skittles put down the same hp/tq or very close to it. they dont make the same numbers as hondas.

to the OP, I had an 04 (dont get an 03 if you buy) and I didnt have any problems. The only problems I did have tho was the 3rd gear synchros went bad two times---but then again I ran the car hard. I had not much money into it an was running 12.7s on street tires. I miss it alot and want another one but its too hard to find a well taken care of one

In order to really answer this, it would be helpful to know your goals or what is most important to you. Overall, I think srts are ok, and for the money are fairly quick out of the box, fairly reasonable to make fast for cheap and reliable. I don't like the interior, but that's just me.
