my friend has a 01 neon automatic base trim,non r/t or srt4, and he neutral droped it. now every gear acts like drive to some extent, park will jolt forward a few inches then stop, reverse the same. neutral will drive up to 55 then buck, and drive works fine.

I think his trans said fuck-it after the neutral slam. Time for a new one.

 

yeah that pretty much sucks, do you know what all years i can get one from.

 

00-05 are all 2nd gens, im pretty sure u can get them from anymodel there exept the srt4

 

Looks like 2000 and 2001 Neons are the only years that work. By service number anyways. The case is the same tho as a minivan from 2000-2002.

If your good at fabricating anything will fit.

i heard things about the first gens working any info on that?

 

The trans case itself is the same as 1999, internals would be different.

 

yes first gens will work but you will have diff gear ratios
