the type s has a purple top (the older ones have a black top) and has more of a high pitched noise. The type rs is polished with a redtop and blue horn (i think.... if not its something like that... do a search for pics) and has a lower tone and more of an air releasing noise. I personally like the looks of the type rs and the sound of the type s better.

thanks for the input, i was hoping it was more of a whistle as opposed to the stock blow off vavle on the srt-4.

you could always use a DSM BOV if you can find an adapter plate...thats what I use, a 1st gen DSM BOV, with mods it can hold 30psi and its a nice quiet whistle that you cant even hear unless you are listening for it( this one is anyway, my old one was a lot louder, but also in much worse condition)

well, if i dont like this one, i might be willing to trade it for a type-s. thanks again. and if anyone has a recording of the two, so i can hear the difference, that would be awsome.

If you want it to sound absolutely insanely sick then run the type s and the mopar bov at the same time. Awesome shit right there.

I dont know if you go on SRTforums.com but they have a bov comparison video that compares like 10-15 different bov's heres the link
http://www.srtforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=31
Thats the video page link theres more bov videos there so I figured I'd give you the whole page link not just one video
