Default issue

when i took the crank out, on the flywheel end there was a semi plastic and rubber ring around the end of the crank. its about 3in in diameter. anyways i sent it in with the crank to be polished and i got the crank back without it. what is this ring and where can i get a new one...for those of you who dont know its a 98 dohc

sounds like a oil slinger. But I can't find it. I'll look some more after lunch.

Well I can't find one. Maybe one of the other guys has run into this before.

that sounds like the rear main seal, get it at the dealer, i think the cost is around $20 but dont remember exactly and I'm not going to dig through my reciept box to find out

yep it was the rear main. it was 16 and some change
