Well I might be picking up a old starion/conquest for 700 bucks, not running. But im wondering how hard it would be to drop a small block ford or chevy in there, and if theres any sites that go through the process, I've looked around, but havn't really seen anything.

u might not find anykind of website thats going to take u through it step by step.u might just have to put ur thinking cap on and go at it.

 

I dunno how easy a small block ford or chevy might work in there. But the Conquest with an auto trans uses the normal Chyrsler A904 trans that was put in just about everything rear wheel drive for 20 years. So bolting up a small block mopar motor might be easier.

 

just make that turbo work you can beat a v8 anytime with that 4 cyl.

 

Go to the mitsu for sale forum, I know a guy in there selling one for $400 minus a engine, I wanted to buy it. The body is straight.

The stock engine in those cars can take a beating, but the trannies are weak as fuck. I also know of a bad ass page www.projectzerog.com Its allmost a step by step install and tons of info on putting a 4g63t in the conquest. If you dont know that is a engine outta a 1G dsm that stock can run 20lbs of boost and make 400hp easily without changing a thing. Check out project zero g even if you arent interested, its pretty sweet and there is a lot of technical info on the conquest/starion, you have to navigate through all the yellow links on the page to get to everything.

Or you can just buy my 90 awd talon in the classifieds for $2500

 

you can build a pretty sick small block mopar.. but you can also build that car sick with what it has.. which is what i reccomend.. Whats wrong with the motor in it?
