Yes, it pretty much bolts up with no issues. People have been swapping 2.4's into Neon's and Eclipses that had the 2.0 a lot lately.

Here's some info that may help if you are building up a 2.4 beast.

yes, a 2.0L head will bolt up to a PRE 2003 2.4....03 and up one oil return passage does not match up and takes some modification...it can still be done though....you will need to use 2.4L head bolts though...the pre 03 head is the same for both 2.0 and 2.4, I am assuming we are talking the DOHC head here...the SOHC will still bolt to the 2.4 but no one yet has found a timing belt of the right size to make it run...although I am sure theres one for some car or another that will work

The 2.4L is 1 inch taller. I know people were working on mounts for the 2.4 to fit the eclipse with no other mods. www.2gnt.com is going to have the info for getting the 2.4L in an eclipse instead of the info on getting a 2.4 in a neon. They are going to be similar but there will be some differences.

Here's a few links to get you started.

if it was my car, i'd look into it deeper, but think gonna just use a 420a for the eclipse and trash this idea...
