Default can a 2.4 stratus motor fit into an avenger?

we are in the procees of trying to do a motor swap. can the 2.4 DOHC ( 4 cylinder) fit into a avenger with no problems? also is it possible to change the tranny from auto to 5 speed? any input would be great!

Yeah the motor will fit in there, but you'll probably have to change the motor mounts, but if you plan on doing any racing with it at all, it'll be very beneficial. And as for the transmission, I know that it can be swapped, but I'm not sure all of which it will require.

Check out Deyeme Racing and see what they have as for motor mounts (www.deyemeracing.com) and also check out (www.modernperformance.com) Both are great sites. If you have any more questions, just ask. [I]
