I had my poor Mini Cooper (163hp) floored and the black Neon (I think Turbo) just passed me by. I was laughing so hard, I about peed in my pants. Them Neon's are quick. I no nothing about them, what is the HP in the turbo neons? I may be going to the Dodge dealer soon..... To whom was driving the neon, give me a break next time.....

 

Just did a little research on the SRT4 and WOW!!!!!

SRT4's turbocharged and intercooled 2.4-liter double overhead camshaft (DOHC) 16-valve 4-cylinder engine produces an impressive 230 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. Producing that kind of power from a 2.4-liter engine is one thing, but few could make it work day-in and day-out like SRT4.

and to think I paid $7,000.00 more for my Mini Cooper. I did not know MSRP on a SRT4 was only $21,200.00 Thats one hell of a deal for 230hp when I paid $28,000.00 for my 163HP Cooper S...

 

they are rated at 230 hp but in testing most of them dyno at about 225 hp to the wheels. with a mopar stage 1, they make about 240 to the wheels. i drove one a few months ago. they're fun to drive.

 

wish it was me,but i live in Pensacola now ...i "heard" they are stout though
