after market tach???

Default after market tach???

i have a 95 dodge neon and i bought a after market moster tach for it and when i went to hook it up i couldnt find the wire for the tach the book shows the gray with light blue stripe and it wasnt doing shit i think i tryed every hole in the gauge cluster and i couldnt get it to work



is there somthing i am missing here or is there a specail way to do it ???

i did mine it is easy. take the dash off then remove all the screws on the gauges and pull the instrumental cluster off there should be 3 wires from the tach. red, black, green?. black goes to a ground, red works best if you put a wire to the fuse panel #16 which will turn on with the ignition. when the power and ground are connected turn the ignition on. put the green wire into the connectors that the cluster was pluged into im not sure which one it is but try them all one is the tach.the tach and no tach clusters are interchangeable so there is a wire for it. try it again because thats all there is to it, sounds like you were doinf it right.it took me about 10-15 minutes to install mine
