there aint no point in swappin a srt-4 motor in a 1 gen its to much of a hassle its been done and its not easy u have to run it on a stand alone for wat u pay to do that u could just get a stratus motor and turbo it but its all up to u lata edwin

I'd say its nor worth the 1st gen swap unless you have money time and patience, but it has been done.

the stratus block will never come close in features/strength for high horsepower, durability and tunability of the SRT block....8.1:1 yummy

Owned ?

hes the one asking becouse he doenst have the knowledge
i guess he knows so much he had to ask
do a search for srt swap on neons.org and see what is involved.

i made a suggestion on what would be easier and cheaper and have almost the same results.

the compression would be the same if you use srt internals.
the srt block is better, but you would have to use a stand alone becouse the crank sensor on the block isnt compatiable with the older electronics.
