Turbo Upgrade for de skittle?
QUOTE:
We will take your stock turbo and upgrade the wheel. The upgrade will make 19 whp and 6 ft/lb. wtq peak. This on a bone stock SRT-4 The power band is greatly enhanced by the torque kicking in sooner resulting in the HP lasting longer. The install of the upgrade turbo cartridge only take's 2 hour's to install. So it only takes 2 hour's to install 19 hp????
Sad thing is they not giving details on the map.....the claim to have slapped it on a stock srt and put down 230WHP. Power was increased thruought the band according to the dyno.
The are supposedly machining the housing and putting a different wheel.....but what wheel?
What do you guys think?
more info:
I will try to locate a compressoer map for you. The wheel is simalar to td05-18g in dimension. But is a lh rotation like the factory srt-4 turbo. It flows aproxx 540 cfm at 2bar (14.7lbs boost)
The stock turbo is a td04-15c and flows about 405 cfm maxed out.
What do the experts think?

500 dollars for an increase from 405cfm to ~540? Depends on what your goals are, I guess, and how much you are willing to spend. That's about the same money you'd spend going from a 14b to a 16g, with a bigger increase. It's going to be money wasted, though, if you decide to swap out for a bigger turbo on a new manifold, so it depends on what your plans are.
That is, if the numbers they provide are accurate.

That exacyly my concern. I want to be in the 12's on regular rubber. 3-350 WHP?
Keep in mind this shit is reverse flow, so I wouldnt say its the same money going from a 14b to 16g. This crap is all integrated into the manifold etc.
And yes...are the #s the provide accurate? I belive their gains, but its upward upgradeability is what I kinda question.
Mopar advertised the td05-15g in their 300WHP stage III package.

If you're in doubt, I'd wait for somebody else on the srt-4 forums to try it out, to be your guinea pig, see if it is capable of what you want. I don't know what kind of reputation they have, how trustworthy they are, but if they don't know what they're doing you might end up with something worse than stock.
Well do not fear...insider source whom I trust very much told me a "STOCK SRT"( meaning nothing else done) @ 13PSI with this upgrade put down 249WHP.
I heard they went for 16PSI but the A/F headed south 14+.
With stage one this may be pretty good...lets see what happens..its early in the game

Hell the test car even at 13psi still makes over 235whp so picture S1, AGP WGA and this turbo upgrade. 270whp can be realized at 15psi with this upgrade and at 20psi it made 315wt but was a bit lean up top so thats where the S1 comes into play Cali
