Some places are reluctant to make a one piece drive shaft because of the increased rotating weight.
You might call Dave Pletchers in St Pete and see who he recommends. I used to get drive shafts and
axles through Mike's Driveline, but his shop is closed. You might try some of the stock car shops
and see who they recommend.-Bob

Dependable Driveshaft is a good place of business. I had a one piece made a few years ago for my 240 and the cost was roughly $225. I'm about to have another one made through them. My neighbor went to them about 5 months ago to have a new yoke welded on his driveshaft and it cost $90/$95. Really good job on the work that I've seen them do, I'd recommend them

Tell us what advantages there are to
converting from a two piece shaft to a one piece?

Eliminating the middle bearing/CV?

Why do MFG's make two piece shafts anyway? -Bob
