Default Need S13/S14 suspension measurements...

I'm trying to possibly install a 240SX rear suspension into my 1989 XR4ti.
Need some measurements.
Here they are:
-wheel flange to wheel flange width
-Distance(width) between the two forward mounting pads of the subframe
-distance(length) between the center of the hub and the forward mounting pad, keeping the measurement angles perpendicular(90*)

That's a lot of detailed under-car measurement. Have you considered finding a 240 in a salvage yard to get measurements on? If I were embarking on such a project, I'd want to take my own measurements, anyway!

Ah, I see. In that case... probably better to post your query to a 240-specific forum. One of those guys is likely to have a parts car lying around up on blocks that they could easily take measurements of... or even have a subframe removed from the car in the back corner of the garage.

This particular forum is usually better for more general information.

On every webforum for 240SX I have found everyone just asks about body kits and 3 inch catbacks hooked to stock converters.

I stumbled across this site because one of my soldiers told me about it. I checked it out and everyone here seems pretty down to earth and almost mature(In an automotive way) ..haha...

What are you trying to acheive? That's a long way to go for another 1980's suspension that's only slightly better. There is a suprising amount of Sierra support. A lot of the info is dated but you can make it do about anything if you set it up right.

I'll assume that you're talking about the S13 subframe. It's bumpsteer and antisquat aren't that great compared to the S14 version.

S13 subframe
-flange to flange width: rear track is 1460mm, and that's with +40 offset wheels, so you're looking at 1540mm. That's at ride height, neglecting a few mm for camber.
-distance between the forward mounting points is 1070mm on the bolt hole centers.
-distance between the hub center and the forward points along the centerline is 425mm.
-bonus: the distance between the rear mounting points is 606mm.
-bonus: the proper height difference between the front and rear mounting points is 149.5mm.

Most of these figures are directly from the BF (body) section of the FSM. The rear track and wheelbase are found in the GI (general) section.

The S14 subframe is a direct derivative of this as far as the mounting points and hub locations go. Just add 10mm to the total widths (mounting points, hubs). The heights and f/r distances stay the same.
