Default anyone replaced heim joints on adjustable arms?

i've got some play in my pretty old jic upper control arms, and toe rods, and am thinking of just replacing the ends rather than buy new arms.
anyone done this?
is it as simple as just measuring everything and ordering new ones? they thread in and arent welded or anything so it couldnt be too hard.

also, was looking at qa1 and aurora, either of those better than the other? and what should i be looking for really?

Aurora is the gold standard for heim joints.

Paul, I measure carefully before I undo a heim joint/rod end,
so I don't lose the alignment. I also locktite the locknuts.-Bob

I use locktite on critical nuts and bolts that should not come loose accidentally.............and I don't drench it........

A drop of Locktite doesn't forever prevent something from coming loose.
it keeps it from working loose on it's own.

In the case of something that will be adjusted many times as I develop
the best setting, such as traction bars, control links, suspension settings, etc., when I get to the final setting....I don't want it coming
loose easily............to each, his own.....-Bob

yes, yes. Metric rod ends are 2-3 times as much as standard. but can be replaced. when gauging the threads take special notice if some are LHT or RHT also.. depending on the application this can mess you up.. If you want to bring them by I gauge them for free and use my suppliers to get you the best price.
