Default Drag race suspension set-up

I have a question about rear suspension set-up for drag racing.
Where should I set the camber on the rear tires? When the car launches weight shifts to the rear and causes the tire/surface contact patch to change. In road racing we dial in about 2 degree's on neg camber and call it a day, but this to compensate for lateral forces not longitudinal forces (front to back) My instinct tell me to dial in about 1 degree of positive camber to compensate for the weight transfer/squat? I have IRS not a solid axle. The car is a 240 with street springs, so there won't be a lot of weight transfer.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,

I'm just guessing but I would think it should be set to zero. I think in reality they set them to just slightly negative.

Yup you want postive. Id go probably more like 2 degrees. Being on the starting lines a lot at track days, I see what happens with a lot of rear IRS cars. Some of them get sick negative when launching

Chuck, I was also baffled. I took a wild guess when I said 1 deg positve camber.

Thanks jerm!

yep..if u want u could set some bricks in your car and get an idea of what the car would look like under a hard launch.

i know on the front suspension we put the caster as far as we can get it to help stable the car on the top end an to soften the hit when the wheels come back down and also set in a lil neg camber..alot of people will jack there front end about 1-3 inches up and set the camber where its perfuct like that..

biasplys move around alot on the top end so if u can stable the car up in anyway it helps
