Default benders

Anyone have any first hand experience with any manual benders? Any brands recommended or brands to stay away from? I don't feel like dropping the extra coin for a hydraulic bender and could use the work out anyways.

ive gotten used to the manual, because the one i use bends 4 degrees per notch. im just used to it, and its pretty easy to figure what is half way, but you always have to go it seems about an extra 1/4 turn due to elastic bending in the tubes

Makers of the benders mentioned above? I've used a manual to build a bunch of stuff already but that was custom and can't be bought. I'm looking at the "JD2 Model 3" theres a model 4 on craigs list but the guy wants way to much, even if its barely used.

Yes that bender is very close if not the same model that we (BLUE2KSS and team) use at the shop. I also like that it can be operated by one person. And, yes, it is very predictable and when used correctly, makes mandrel bends with no surface marks.

Aircraftspruce is where we get all our tubes, but be aware they are a bit on the expensive side

the tube bender says Pro Tools on it, they are local to Brandon. I can get the number if you would like, or search it on google, im sure they have it on there

What kind of price range are you looking at for these manual benders on the used market? Are they only capable of mandrel bends on shallow angles or can you get a mandrel 90 out of one? What size/thickness tubing are they capable of bending?
