Default 15.1@88mph!

thats right girls and boys! the Purple Monster ran 15.1@88mph!!

man what a thrill! to finally be back on the track again after 3 years. other than that? bleh..

1st Pass was a complete unkown, never havuibng driven the car over 45mph, and now on ET streets, god only knew what would happen..

R/T .580
2.290 60'
9.690 1/8
73.76 mph
15.129
88.66 mph

car was cold (not even 100 degrees)
tranny was bucking badly, and nothing over 4000 rpm??, after fisdling, found the battery was DEAD, Alternator had fried, and was not charging, so no juice up high.

second run..

R/T .633
2.031 60'
8.972 1/8
77.31 MPH
14.082
94.35

a little better.. still NO power up top due to no electrical power, now tranny is shifting at 4300 rpm??? dang.. Open headers are KILLING me off the line, and I can't get the ET streets to turn over due to it.

third run...

R/T 1.016
2.229 60'
8.883 1/8
80.72 mph
13.740 1/4
101.89 mph

this pass I managed to get the tranny to run up a little better, but then it shifted to 4th at a little less than the 1000' mark!!!!!! DaNGIT!

I was done after that pass, car wouldnt get close to 5000 rpm.. tranny shifting at 4200.. no point in abusing the car. HP is there for mid 12's pulling 306 @ the rear.. but I just wasnt ready for the track just yet. some more tuning,. tranny adjustments and replaceing the alternator.

Couldnt manually shift the car.. racthets slipped and werent lining up right, and I was afraid if I did manual shift I could miss 3rd, and go right to Neutral.. not good, so I let it shift it'self.

the power is there, just not getting the runs just yet, next time I will be better dialed in first and make a much stronger showing.

You guys should have seen the long line of people there to abuse Robert after the maiden 15 second pass.

Must be nice to finally run again...problems and all! Its got some 12s in it for sure.

hehehe. The line of people to give you shit was hilarious. Get that tranny figured out and put a real stall converter in there like we talked about at the track. Car's gonna be good for some mid 12's easy.

nah.. no 11's or 10's in the near future..

the old motor went 10.5's..

this motor is bone stock and only good for low to mid 12's.. MAYBE a 11.99 on a perfect day, with everything running to perfection, and thats stretching things.

but 12.4 is the first goal for now.
