Only thing I would be worried about doing is etching my own board. If he has a layout for the board so you can lay it over a board or preetched boards that would be great. The rest really wouldnt be that hard.

he may very well...theres a lot of downloadable files on the site of schematics drawings etc...ill check and see...a few of them are in protel format...what the hells that?
