...is better than the best day at work!
NHRA @ Gainesville ruled. The turn out sucked and the crowd needed a little more spirit but the few good races that there were made it all worth while. Seeing Kubo run the Venom car - Paisley hit the wall and be taken to the hospital by helicopter - the Venom drag truck - the 30min Kubo tranny swap - the loud ass rotaries - Rocky run up against the Pros - Cory run against the Hocus Pocus car....
I love racing.

...and I noticed something else - with all the little gay Honda car clubs there are in Tampa the organization that went out in the fullest force was Tampa Bay DSM - and what was the ratio of DSMs to Hondas running out there? Like 1:15 or something like that eh?
Sorry - GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - ranting - I REALLY dont want to see Florida lose sanctioned Import racing because all the kids that pretend they are racers dont give a fuck about real racers and supporting them.

Its going to cost you about $20 bucks in gas round trip. These kids are coming up with money for clear taillights and vinyl... so I guess the money isnt the problem. Maybe seeing these REAL racers tearing up the track would open their eyes to how pathetic they really are... and we wouldnt want that.OK... Im done ranting too now.
This was the best weekend Ive had in a long while. See you at the next one.

which car was corys? is that the cory from AE? and i agree the turnout and the crowd both kinda blew...me? i burnt the shit out of my scalp...damn sun...i got a fair deal of video...about 2 solid hours worth...then my camera took a shit...best weekend ive had in a damn good while too...

AHHH much fun and sun was had by all. 
I had a very good time. Little sunburnt but Ive seen worse(ahaha Joes face and Jeffs scalp). The Venom car and truck were totally impressive. A friend talked to the RWD Focus guys to find they run a 31 year old motor...the same that is in the Ford XR4TI? Merkur etc. Running 50PSI of Turbo boosted goodness.
The best by far was Eric busting the ESPNs guys balls...AHAHAHH! Hey you gonna show any racing on this weeks coverage!
Rocky running with the big dogs was awesome. Truly inspirational. To see a local guy qualify in the quick 16 with some top dogs was awesome. I dont think Ill ever get that chance but KEEP IT UP ROCKY!

Of course all of the DSM guys loosing like usuall was still fun to watch. Esp Jesus an Orlando based member of my club running some mid-low 11s without the NOS was fun. Daily driven.
Enough rambling but going to these events reminds me why I do what I do....on a lower level of course.
