How many of you have had thoughts of quitting your job and.....
Taking a less-paying job in an area you would rather live (or at least think you would rather live).
I am not talking about quitting your job at BK to work for taco bell for .20 cents an hour less - I am talking about a $15-$20K drop in income for a boost in sanity and moral.

That rules me out then.I only make $15k a year as it is, and things are getting tense at the shop lately, so im really ready to move on myself.
There is no price on happiness though. At the new job couldnt you eventully being make the same as the last?

I guess the important question would be, can you continue to support your current lifestyle after the 15k - 20k drop ? I think that's what matters, Im sure you can always make up those 15k-20k doing other things on the side. If you think you're gonna be happy then yes, if the new job will greatly improve your resume, then it may be ok, to put up with the lower pay to start with.. Is the wife cool with it ? Will your kids get what they need ? yadda yadda, but again I don't think you have kids.
