shooting
I went shooting pretty much for the first time yesterday( i shot a .22 riffle in a few time when i lived in wy.) I know lots of you are gun people so i figured id share my experance.
Over all it was ok, i shot a 27 glock and a 38? glock both 9mm. The hand guns from any distance were pretty difficult, i was with some pretty experaned shooters and were at about 25 yards and were shooting paper targets and small water bottles. The papper targets after alittle practice i could hit center mass fairly often. i only hit one water bottel and i think it was more luck than anything.
I also shot an AR15 that was much easier to hit stuff with and did a lot of damage to the water bottles and coconuts we were shooting with them.
we moved between 25 and 50 yard with these.
Over al with these twotypes guns it were kinda neat to try but i wasn't like "this is realy cool i want to take this up as a hobby". We did how ever move out to 240 yards and shoot a 308 savage and this was freaking cool as hell!! We set up 1 gallon water jugs to shoot. The fun part to me was the scopes were set up for about 100 yards so you had to adjust for that aswell as the wind. the first two bottles i hit were like dead center! after that I just kept shoot some the paper targtes and these two metal plates we had set up.
The long shots are something i would liek to do agian but i don't think im going to go out buying gun any time soon. I was pretty cool to try and I would suggestfor any one who hasn't done ti to go try it!!
