Eh, I cursed it. Kid never contacted me anyway. It's probably for the best as the last 95 240 I really liked was beat to absolute shit, but looked great in pictures. The one in question had a salvage title (which doesn't really matter to me), countless suspension issues, a busted off key in a lock, broke ass Katie Bang style passenger window motor and ripped S13 seats. It's a downright blessing I wasn't contacted on that car.

You probably did see it, Jerm...kid is from spring hill, drives it all over the place. I may *gasp* get a DSM because I like wrenching on cars alot and enjoy electrical dilemmas. Just really tired of the no a/c and no paint to wax situation.

 

As a dsm fan craig let me share a little advice...don't buy one. all 1gs are beat to hell. My wife and I have been looking at convertables , i was looking at gst spyders and every time i look at one all i can think is " Ill buy it and a week later it's going to have crank walk". not to mention most 2g are beat to hell now too.

That and the second you buy you will become obbsesed with them, ask my wife. In the last 6 years i have not gone longer than 6 months with out owning one and at time owning as many as 3. Save yourself now form the pain and suffering.

 

It's just a matter of perspective. My 240 is beat to hell, has James Bond valveguides. I just think that every time I look at a 240 that a rod knock is just a second away. This car that I am thinking of is just a means to an end...not anything perminant since it is FWD. But eh, I probably won't get that either and end up sweating my ass off and applying rain-x more often than most folks apply deoderant.

 

You should look into another CRX or Civic of same vintage. Dustin picked up that hatch of his for dirt cheap. Cold A/C, great gas mileage, cheap/easy to fix. You can't beat an old Honda for a cheap & reliable beater.

 

Since it is going to be my only car, it has to have some fun qualities to it.
