My last week of Social Freedom !
Okay Perros I will make it short and sweet. My social life will take a major shit by next Wednsday June 1st 2005. How long will this be ? It all depends on how sucessful, and how quick will another position with better hours opens up which im not concerned about it at this time since Im there to prove myself.
Anyways to make a long story short, after long months of self preparation, I finally landed on an acceptable career path where Im positive I'll suceed if I continue at the pace that Im going. Anyways the downside is that I'll be starting on a position on a Wed - Sun from 5pm - 1am schedule. Not the most social friendly schedule at all. My days off will be Monday and Tuesday so I guess I'l have to continue to go to Castle with Pee Wee on Mondays.
Anyways, despite the schedule Im really excited about it. Im just wondering how well I'll develop after a few months there.

Sounds like you already know this but unfortunately sometimes it does mean making sacrafice in order to "move on up" and try to advance your career path.
About 5 years ago I bailed from our helpdesk and my sweet Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm shift to move to another department doing shift work. Since this change I've been 7pm-7am most nights and also killing 2 Fri-Sun weekends due to our rotation. Does this make it harder to sleep, meet new people, and hang out with current friends??....sure it does.....have I been able to nearly double my income and broaden my resume in this timeframe......yes.
Sometimes it just boils down to "no pain no gain"....... I'm off half of the Mon+Tues's every month too so hit me up on AIM, I'm right across the street now

WOW....I forsee bad DT's on the weekends for pollo. Weight loss and a completely different person that will be 100% responsible and not fun. or the same ole chikin'
