We had a wedding to attend on her birthday. She had stated to me that we needed to go someplace we haven't been in awhile (which set me up) so I offered that we go to Lake Eola Park. (We went here on our first date over 6 years ago).
In order to set it up even more and make sure she had no idea, I informed her that the jeweler needed 2 more weeks to finish the ring. (She knew I was having one made, but had not seen the actual stones or ring)
I bought presents (small ones) so I could have things for her to open to help with the coverup.
We go to the wedding (everyone there knows whats going down that night, so they help with the setup of making sure she has no clue). We leave the wedding about 10pm.
I take her to Lake Eola and we go to the part of the park by Lee's Lakeside (there are more lights here). She opens the first present, some items from Victoria's Secret. She smiles and puts them aside for the next gift. She opens gift number two, a FOM pillow from Brookstone (she's been wanting one of these). She then moves on to present number 3. She unwraps it and sees this:

She gasps and starts to get tears in her eyes.
I then get down on one knee and pull the ring (which had been in my pocket) out and ask her to marry me.
Needless to say, I got tons of brownie points for that deal...
