i'm looking for a long block/short block for a toyota 3RZ engine (2.7L 4 cylinder).

yeah it appears so.. they put oil in it.. and started it up and it was fine.. a day or so later after having sit for a bit.. its rod knocking.
I'm not sure what to do.. replace the whole long block ?.. just a short block ?.. just internals ?
Also I think allied should be footing some of the bill seeing as how this is a direct result of them not putting the oil filte r on correctly.. so i guesd i need to get the details of when the oil change was.. and go see them.

How was it not on correctly? Doubled up on the gasket? Just have Maestro document and take pics of everything and you should have a decent case. You aren't the first one to have a motor ruined by a chain store.
