So, how bad will this suck?...

im getting my deviated septum "fixed"

how bad is that going to suck? ((i know Zate got his done a while ago))

i really need it done tho, i could never breathe out of my right nostril and my nose is friggin crooked...hopefully this will help :-/

My ENT surgeon suggested I have mine done too. He wanted to do it all at once back when I had my tonsils/adenoids removed. I went and got a 2nd opinion and the other ENT surgeon told me just do the tonsils and adenoids and see how well that worked first. I decided against the septum fix.

I can actually breathe through my nose now, and I sleep a lot better too. It was my adenoids blocking the air and my tonsils giving me constant problems so I won't bother with the septum.

If you can't breathe through one side at all then I can see why you need it. I hear the septum fix hurts but I have no idea how bad. Just make sure they give you strong drugs and you'll be fine.

well, lol i also have chronic toncillitis, so i might have to have those puppies out too

((thanks for reminding me)) and the septum correction hurts because they break your nose and set it back

i am going to see the ENT specialist in about 10~ days, so i will get his opinion on everything

oh man...that srugery SUX! Your nose is gonna hurt for months and it burns! Also everything is gonna smell like this weird funky iron type smell for a while to!

It's not so bad once the 2 weeks of guaze shoved up your nose is removed and you can eat solid foods again.

oh yea and I am just kidding. You will be fine.

definately worth it Tom..i wa slike greg.. cept i got it all done at once.. tonsils.. atenoids.. septum.. but man.. its AWESOMe to be able to breathe !

it'll hurt.. and you'l be uncomfortable.. but it'll be worth it... the plasic bit they stick in there is the most annoying bit.. that and the HUGE krusty blood boogers that there up there.. and you can feel em.. but cant get em out.. lol

Have you looked into alternative therapies? My friend was going to have it done, but did a lot of research, and learned that it only works for about 60% of the people who have it done, and it's not often a permanent fix.

lofl guys thansk!!! hahaaha....i need it done, my girl is already planning on taking off work and school to take care of me, my stepmom is the only one who can tolerate blood and stuff so i want to see if i can get it videotaped, that would be pretty crazy lol

thanks for the headsup on what to expect, its always better to be prepared for the worst, i handle pain quite well and the meds should keep me alright...

ohh and i almost forgot, i am also going to a dermatologist to get some "bad looking moles", as my doctor called them looked at on my back and outter thigh :-/
