So do you but I still love you anyway.

I have the idenical phone as Alan and have had no issues. Working @ sprint like I do, I know firsthand that Sprint sucks. Cingular GSM is pretty sweet as it jumps from network to network with other service providers. Cingular and ATT merged and ATT has a 5 year contract with Sprint to use their network as well.

Bottom line is that if your cell service sucks, it is most likely with Alltel or Nextel. Any other interruption in service is most likely due to a high usage area (ie alot of fuckers yapping on their cellphones and monopolizing the network as it can only handle so many users per tower). After testing both my Sanyo w/Sprint and my Motorola w/Cingular, I found their performance idenical in heavy cell usage downtown Tampa.

Before you go blaming service providers, research network coverage, tower coverage and overall user density. Or just ask me...I deal with that crap everyday.

My service sucks and it is with Cingular. It constantly drops calls, gets poor reception, or just doesn't have a signal. Shit, I was in a 5-bar area on a job interview and suddenly the signal dropped and it disconnected me (luckily the lady understood).

If only Sprint hadn't pissed/ripped me off. I really liked that service, but at the time I couldn't afford to hastle with their bullshit of high monthly charges, another 1-yr contract, and their shady customer service.

That being said, I was with Verizon since it was PrimeCo too (used to work for Primeco years ago). But I went with TMobile because Verizon's phone selection is uninspiring at best.
You must be talking about Verizon in a different country.....cause the Verizon you speak of is nothing like I have.

It's actually better service here than it was in New Tampa, but that's the only good thing. It took me 6 months to get them to send me a paper bill, my phone broke a month after I had it, and they wouldn't replace it, they didn't give me the services I signed a contract to receive, took them several months to change my address, etc. I could go on. And somehow my $40 1000 minute plan manages to be about $75-80/month and I only use about 500-600 minutes.

Speaking as someone who does drive around the country, I have to disagree. NO cell company has what I would call good coverage across the country on their own network. They all have holes, that is why they partner with other companies and roaming came about. Now most companies have the bargaining power to offer their customers a plan that they call no roaming, which just means you don't get charged for it, you still are technically roaming.

Most of my truck driving friends use sprint, pretty good network of towers and unlimited pcs to pcs, you can't beat it, especially when most of the people you talk to on the phone have it as well. I will be getting a sprint phone in a couple months to go along with my new sidekick2.
