I was in Louisiana this weekend. The rain kind of killed most of the big dawgs from coming out, but I saw a lil. They stood around and talked just like we do. They complained about imports, just like we do. They have some pretty stout cars and they only race from a dig. What killed me is where they race.. One of the main spots is like two blocks from the HOOD. Off a main road.. The funny part is the name of the road. Florida Ave.. They sit in a parking lot and watch the race from there. They use the street light to start the race. The 1/4th is marked off via a Car Wash. I was there for like 3 hours and not one police car drove by. The top dawg there was a 240Z. You know the older style? Had a Chebby V8 in it and it was tubbed. He could not get a race to save his life. I was like fuck I'll race him for fun. Allan Futral from Futral Motorsports told me I better sit back down. That 240Z runs 7.80's at 174mph on the spray and low 9's on the motor. I said" OK!" All and all I had a good time and would love to go back up there. They also plan trips to Houston to street race and they are going again soon. I might have to go check that out..

I sure miss Louisiana. All the good stuff happened when i came to this stupid state of FL.
