Sucks being couped up for so long. I awoke to the sound of strong wind followed by the oh so familiar sound of a power transformer exploding outside. I knew I was fucked. That was it for my power for a while. LOL That was very early Monday AM but luckily for me it was restored almost exactly 24 hours later.
It sucked for the fact that I got really bored Monday. I listened to the radio and ended up going outside and took some pics of the damage. I'll post some up later.

I too was lucky in that I did not lose power. But having to stay inside two days by myself wasn't fun. I got so bored I ended up dusting my house, sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor, vacuuming the whole house, doing ALL of my laundry, the dishes, and other little stuff....that was just on Sunday. What did I learn from all of this??? That when I do all of my laundry I don't have enough hangers.

lost power for 5 hours sunday then like 3 hours later that night. not too shabby. spent monday getting psycho with the chainsaw.
took a rope and pulled a 20+ foot limb out of the tree across the street since it was just dangling. now its blocking a cutoff street hehehe. no more people flying by my house at 70mph!
oh and living behind the water pump station and a good water heater has its benefits when there's no power. pressha!
