Yup. The last place I rented was about $50 I think. You rolled in with everything all masked up, shot the car and had long enough to let the car sit and flash before you rolled it out. If there was nobody waiting for the booth, they let you leave it in the dust free area longer.

You could pick up a few bucks and all you have to do is supply dry air and filters for the booth. Set up a price card for shooting a full car or something cheap for just a fender or hood. Easiest would be by time though.

$50 for what per hour/day? I have the "clean air" system. What filters are you talking about?

I take it that is what the two things on the clean air system are... I will get pics tomorrow.

Now my dad is thinking of renting it out to another business so now IDK. we'll see.

Yeah, that $50 was a few years ago. The point was that you need to figure out a reasonable hourly, daily, half day charge for the booth rental. You don't want to go too high so that the damn thing sits there unused for hours or days at a time but you also don't want to go too low so that you don't make any money.

The filters I was refering to was the one that are in the booth itself...usually in the doors and the back wall in front of the fans to filter out all of the birds and dust in the air.

I think it's a pretty good niche for a business. Lots of people want to squirt their own cars or bikes. Even if it's just a fender or a hood. All you have to do is supply a dust free booth with good air that is free of water and oil and take in the money. Paint runs and poor prep or masking are none of your concern. I'd even make them bring their own spray gun so there could be no bitching about that. Just supply the atmosphere and leave the rest to the customer. Oh, and take away their cigarettes at the door.

Birds? Hell yeah! I used to paint Hobies with Imron outside at the beach when I couldn't talk the owners out of it. Do you have any idea what kind of a blemish a Herring Gull can make in a paint job? It's not pretty. Always best to filter them out.

I've got a finger for ya, Billy.
