They dont tell you about these things when you're house shopping, things like buying a lawnmower (or lawn service for the lazy bastards). Then if there is anything you want to customize about the house, paint, add on anything, that costs too (considering a covered porch for mine).

Yeah, then Im still working on the S14, it comes out of the body shop soon, and I leave for vacation one week after I move in. Imma be a broke bitch right along with ya Bill!
You guys want to talk about being broke. I recently had a sprinkler system put in. Bought an expedition, another bike, and on top of that is the freaking mortgage payment. Not to mention that I'm going up to the Gap for a week the beginning of June. I will have no money during the whole trip.

As for the grass....here is a tip....if you don't water it it doesn't grow. I spent five months without watering the grass and didn't have to cut it. Then I put in the sprinkler system. Right when I was about to give in and go buy a lawn mower, the neighbor's kid came over and said he would mow the front and back yard for $20. So, now I pay him $20 every two weeks. It's great....he even sweeps the grass clippings from the driveway and the sidewalk.

We just signed a contract on our house and made an offer on another. I would venture to guess we have 3x the stuff we had from last move. Closing on our house is June 14th if all goes well with this contract. Should hear back on offer today.
