Well, most of it has been operator error, lol!

The SDS wasn't bad in the first place, I missed one of the EEC grounds, so when I got it back I got it installed, finished buttoning up a few things (like the Nice polished T-76 )and gave it a shot - she fired!!!!!! ran like crap for a few seconds, and I shut her off.

Dragin came over to the shop and helped sort out all of the timing and fuel curve at idle issues... Now it idles great (a bit lumpy though

Steve left and I finished all the miscellaneous things I needed to do like coolant, overflow, fan, trans fluid, breathers, etc... and I took it out for a few short test drives down the road at the shop and back... at first she was breaking up a LOT, but after leaning it up a bit she ran like a champ! I only got to get into it for a few seconds and maybe hit 2-3 lbs of boost if that (stayed out of it until I can check the A/F)... but OMFG!!!!!!! I was loving every minute of it!

The C4 shifts instantly, converter is probably a little looser than I'm use to, but I still think it will work great! A few squeaks and groans from some of the suspension bits that haven't really moved in a year. Even though I have a CD player in it I wasn't about to even turn it on on the way home, I was enjoying the sound too much!!! (And all the frightened looks from other drivers who seemed to be cowering in their cars when I pulled next to them at the lights )

So I was driving it home, open DP and all, and all of a sudden after I pulled on to linebough from Racetrack Rd. the ignition / computer died! Turns out, I had my mount for all of the electronics sitting in the passenger side footwell... dumb ass me I forgot to put the cover back on the distribution block and my keys that were sitting on the passenger seat shorted the power lead to the plate, effectively shorting a +12V lead to the case of the SDS... OOOOPS! Anyway - a quick call to AAA and on cool tow truck driver (and low low low flatbed + wood, lol) later and it was home safe in the garage.... Called SDS today and instead of me sending it to Canada fot a 10 minute repair he showed me where to look and I found the problem. One tiny - and I do mean TINY spot on the board got burnt, effectively shutting off the ground to the computer.

So 15 minutes with a solder gun tonight and it should breathe again!

I'll make a post in the ford forum when i get a chance to record a vid or two of it this weekend. She needs a 3.5" bullett muffler to stop attracting so much attention

Cool, let me see about a muffler for it so I can get it over there without getting pulled and I'll see about it....

BTW - BIG BIG BIG thanks to Steve, Tony, Clint, Ken, Jomar, Marty, Dean, my sister (the beast, lol) and a bunch of other people for their time and help the last few weeks! I'll be making a post in the Ford Forum to thank everyone that can't see this when I finally get some good vids to post of it running!

Good deal! Did the lifter finally pump up or will that require a readjustment?
