Commonly found around 3k. You could get a small loan and pay for it. Just another thought
What years should I keep an eye out for? Are they RWD?

The newer ones are definitely better looking though, and they made them up through 02....so you could probably find a pretty new one for cheap.

Why not conisder a 4 banger truck and get a tow dolly incase the SVO breaks down.
Is that a deal with all Kias, or just for that dealership?

I thought about the truck thing, but I'd rather have something that gets better gas mileage. I'm crossing my fingers that this raise coming up in March will give me enough extra income to handle payments on like a 2-3 year old 4-door something (pretty impressed with the Lancer and the Elantra) for around $8-10k. Figure those are pretty reliable, and I'd rather buy used than new with those sorts of cars.

Buy a driver, not another potential hole in the wallet. That scooby looks cool and all, but as John stated you need a driver. Something simple and not overly complex. A car you see tons of in a junkyard preferably (no, not another Mustang). G20, Altima, Civic, Accord, Camry or something. Basically, a car built to survive for millions of miles of neglect by folks who don't maintain them.
