Since I hardly ever see you, just thought I would post this up in here. Felt this would be good for everyone to read since it is so "interesting".
The owner of a for now un-named website wants me to pass along the message that he is intersted in purchasing TR. Thinks it could be more than it is, yada yada yada.

"well if you talk to him, mention it...i just think the site could be so much more thna it is"
I kind of felt this was a slap in the face.

i dont think he could afford it.. and he hasnt seen TR-Next 
TR would sell for WELL into 6 figures.
and i dont think he understands our user base.. there are only so many changes you can make to a site before people start leaving it in droves.. sites are a very fickle things and its thanks to aharons good management that TR has made it this far.

When is the next revamp coming out? When we get the new hardware and whatnot?
I totally agree with you on the fickleness of these sorts of websites. Quite frankly, I know this guy would run it into the ground. He brags about how much traffic he has to his forums, however he is hardly busier than TampaForums. Yet he thinks TR is "poorly run".
Realistically, if he were able to afford TR I am about 85% sure he would shut TR down and try to get everyone to his own site. He is entirely driven by the $$, and measures success by how much money he makes.

Aahron, I won't blame you if you sell TR and pay for your pimp pad cash.... I know I would...

The next version is a few months away.. were waiting on hardware.. and OS upgrade. We'll be going vb3 (www.vbulletin.com) and photopost 4.6 for the gallery. Looking into making the forsale are into a real classifieds section.. adding a business directory.. and revamping advertising with Aharons Pimp Banner Ad Shit v 1.0 Beta
were not looking to remove anything.. only add fucntionality and maybe give the place a fresh look.. it'll be very familar looking.. we wont change the general "look and feel".. just polish it a little
I'm primarily working on this stuff on the old TR server (which is in my closet) and Aharon is working on his banner stuff and Billy is working on events and john on day to day mod/admin stuff and advertising sales.
All in all were all REALLY busy.. lol.. but with TR growing by 300+ users a month.. we need to beef it up a little
