so for the second time in about 4 months ive lost my voice and gotten a nasty head cold.....back in the day when i got a really bad sore throat i was diagnosed w/ "chronic toncillitis" but never EVER lost my voice....and back in october or so i lost my voice for the very first time in my life and now i just lost it again....and i was looking in the mirror because i felt somthing funny in my throat, like there was somthing back there and i looked and my toncils are so swollen i can see them in plain and the back of my throat is swollen and i have about a dime size opening of a throat....juuussstt greaaattt

i called my doctor and they called in a Rx for me, they said if i dont get any better or get worse i have to go in.....

hopefully my girl will take care of me this weekend and i'll get better......but this really blows

You probably need to see an allergist. When I was your age, I had the same issues and was sick like that all the time. At 28, I still have my tonsils, despite what doctors have said to do with them. Severe allergies seem to mess with the tonsils/lymph nodes alot.
